BIOLUBRICANTS for immediate future
Due to its excellent viscosity (IV mid. 233) and lubricity, but even more due to its biodegradability (three times higher than minerals) and non-toxicity, lubricants from vegetables are the primary choice for any machinery operating in environmentally protected surroundings. With highest points of inflammation and being easily renewable, biolubricants, in addition to advancing within the automotive industry, in line with global environmental legislations project the future making them a sole alternative for certain activities such as mining, oil exploration, agricultural, food and timber industries.
In our work with complex Oleochemical esters of Polyhydric alcohols PALMVIT has taken the challenge to improve its critical points of fluidity and thermo-oxidative stability, a challenge that required considerable research on adding and mixing bases in order to improve requirements of internationally approved scales (Fymat).
Whether liquid biolubricants for hydrodynamic lubrication or semi-liquid products, our experience shows that the overall use of unsaturated fatty acids like palm oil is crucial to ensuring the best standards, proving to be the best basis for developing chemical engineering services focused on production of biolubricants, with a market turnover of US$ 2038.5 million in 2013.
